Chess Club
Chess is not just a game; it is a pursuit that fosters critical thinking, problem-solving, strategic planning, and discipline. It encourages intellectual growth and develops skills that extend beyond the chess board. These attributes are not only valuable in a academic setting but also throughout life in general. With Chess Club, our mission is to inspire young minds to engage in a cognitive pursuit to hone critical thinking skills and analytical prowess.

Our Impact
In Our First 20 months…
Official Rated Chess Tournaments
Since June 2024, we have organized our chess club members to compete in official United States Chess Federation rated chess tournaments a few times. We are incredibly proud of what our students accomplished for their first time at a professional chess tournament.
Following that, Jixiu Liu competed in the New York State Championship tournament, where he claimed the champion in the K-5 U600 group by winning all six of his games. Meanwhile, the late Henry Hu participated in the Supernationals Chess tournament in Florida, where he triumphed in the K-1 U500 group, securing his champion title by winning all seven rounds.
